Griffin are specialists in VIP, Commercial, and Military Special Variant Interiors. In February 2008, the Company completed the final shipset of interior Equipment Racks, and Stowages for the Japanese JASDAF Hawker U125a Search and Rescue programme. This programme ran for over 10 years and involved 30 complete aircraft interiors consisting of dozens of Interior Panels, Bulkheads, Stowages, Cabin Equipment Racks, along with trim work involving Leather Seating, Netting, and Aircraft Soundproofing components.

Clearly, an important contractual aspect to securing this work package was that quality and delivery were of the essence. Griffin are proud to say that a 100% Quality and Delivery rating was achieved throughout the life of this programme with all parts being shipped form Griffin’s UK manufacturing plant in Broughton N.Wales to the customer’s facilities in the USA.

Previous experience gained on the 3 aircraft interiors for the C-FIN Airfield Calibration programme for the USAF was an important pre-requisite for securing the U125a contract, whilst an on-going requirement for VIP Interiors Spares will further enhance their value in the years ahead.

This success has directly led to Griffin securing a new work package in August 2009 for a total of 9 King-Air aircraft interiors for the UK’s MOD consisting of Cabin Tables, Cabin Seating, Racking and Stowages. Building on this, Griffin anticipate further work on Commercial Aircraft Interiors Special Variants in the near future.

Hawker 125 Business Jet Interiors

The market for VIP Interiors continues to experience remarkable growth with Griffin’s involvement in the best selling mid-sized Hawker 125 Business Jet being particularly beneficial. This has previously involved complete interior refurbishment of the entire Royal Saudi Airforce fleet of Hawkers together with the Queens Flight BAe 146 and original interiors for aircraft belonging to the former World Formula 1 Racing Champion, Ayrton Senna, and Tom Walkinshaw owner of the Arrows Team. Other interiors for aircraft owned by The Duke of Westminister, Iceland Foods, Shell UK, and Volkswagen to name a few, were also notable successes.

Griffin are proud to rank as a first-tier interiors supplier to such prestigious blue-chip clients as Airbus UK, Raytheon Systems Ltd, and HawkerBeechcraft Co. USA together with sub-tier clientele such as the CML Group Ltd in Birkenhead, Wirral.

In addition to the hard and soft trim previously mentioned, the firm’s capabilities also include the manufacture of Aeroweb A1-48 and Malite EGB4 specification Lightweight Composite Honeycomb Panels, Polycarbonate, Fibreglass and Carbon Composite components including Wet Lay-up, and Vacuum Bagging.
