Field International specialises in "turnkey" design, development, manufacture and installation for its customers
in Aviation, Defence and other industries. A great deal of experience has been acquired in problem solving,
resulting in innovation and working designs.
The Company utilises the latest technology, particularly the computer to maximise efficiency, and with
associated companies in fields such as electronics, treatments and material supplies, the service offered to
aerospace is second to none.
In addition to its development work, this fast expanding company specialises in aircraft jigs and fixtures,
ground support equipment, of which its range of undercarriage removal and installation, and handling trollies are
in service at many locations throughout the world. Aero engine handling equipment and trolleys, tow-bars, jack test
equipment, and electronic undercarriage simulator kits are also produced, and can be tailor-made to order.
Jack Test Rigs
The Jack Test Facility provides the means for both static and dynamic testing of Aircraft jacks, both axle and
tripod aircraft jacks, with both vertical and side load test capabilities. This rig will cover all aircraft types
worldwide.
Wheel Recovery Jacks
Aircraft Recovery Jacking Tool
The Aircraft recovery Jack has been designed and developed for British Airways. The recovery jack is designed to
enable the recovery of the aircraft when two tyres are completely deflated on the same axle and sitting on the
wheel rims.
Undercarriage Installation Trolleys
The trolleys are designed to be towed and braked by independent means with a maximum speed of 5KPH/3MPH.
Approved by Airbus, the FIL8400A trolley is designed to install and remove the main and centre landing gear on
the new A380 aircraft.
The trolley provides 6 axis of movement and has all its movements electronically controlled for precise movement
and ease of use.
The new trolley can be maneuvered in any direction including sideways under its own power electrically, battery
powered or by the use of a tow tug. Optional extras can be purchased to enable the trolley to install and remove
main and centre landing gears from the A330, A340, A340 600 series as well as the A380 aircraft.
A380 Recovery Tooling
This equipment has been designed and manufactured to enable the aircraft to be lifted in an emergency using four
lifting points. The beams have a total lifting capacity of 800 tons.
A380 Defuelling equipment
This equipment has been designed and manufactured to enable the fuel tanks to be emptied using the feed and
transfer pump canisters.
A380 AGU Equipment
This piece of equipment has been designed to install and remove the AGU on the Airbus A380 aircraft. The unit
has full six axis movement and is also used to remove the heat exchangers when the AGU has been removed from the
aircraft.
